The librarian at Warrior Elementary School spends 30 minutes a week working with students in grades K-5 on library skills.
New standards are currently being developed for library skills. The links to the left describe skills we work on at the various grade levels at this time.
Students are able to come to the library to check out books, take Accelerated Reader tests and do research on assignments given in their regular classes. Students are encouraged to come in whenever they have a need to use their library.
Teachers come to the library to check out books to use in the classroom, check out videos and books on tape to supplement units being taught.
We currently have several projects going on with 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students. Check for descriptions and student work periodically on the main page.
